*** service or should I say lack there of

For the life of me I am still having issues understanding how Telkom claiming to be the best telecoms comapny will go marketing itself and once people start buying into their product only to have the worst experience ever.

This past weekend I had to drive more than 50km from Klerksorp to Potchefstroom to have a sim swap done because Telkom does not allow one to do a sim swap via the call centre.

They just had to close the Klerksdorp customer service centre and now if you're in Klerksdorp and need help that requires you to go to any of their service centres you'll need to travel all the way to Potch to be assist.

*** I tell you. :)

Hi Thabiso
As per my initial complain, I had to drive to Potch to have my SIM swap done. We were assisted with that and the everything is working well.
The only thing outstanding is that the number ********** 797 is registered under my wife because I initially purchased it for her but I've been using it since.
When the SIM swap was done I asked that the ownership be changed to me because always have issues when I call your customer care because they always want to speak to the owner. The lady at West Acres took our ID copies and proof of residence but told us that she has never done a change of ownership on a prepaid SIM before.
She promised to contact head office to have the change of ownership done because everything stays the same only that it needs to change from Kelebogile Wanyane to Martin Wanyane (ID: ********** 593081), address and everything else stays the same.
But guess what this is supposed to be done yesterday given the public holiday on Monday. But when I called the number listed for the store ( ********** 413), I was told that it does not exist. So clearly I have to again go looking for another one of your stores and hopefully I will be assisted by someone who knows what they are doing.
How hard can it really be to change/update an owner's details? Especially where you have all the proof you need for audit purposes?
This is really one messed up bad experience I tell you.
