Its been 8 months since I cancelled and I'm still paying

This is the worst experience that I have had in my entire life when it comes to customer service and a business being *********. I cancelled my service back in September 2016 and it has still not been cancelled and they till taking my money every month.

So after going to a Telkom Mobile store back in September 2016 and talking to a Telkom rep on their online chat I was told that I can only cancel my Telkom service through submitting a cancellation form to their cancelation email address. This I did at the end of September 2016 with the idea that October will be my one month notice and from November my service will be cancelled and I won’t have to worry about paying anymore. Thishis was the Smart broadband 50GB package on a month to month package that costs R 699 per month so not a cheap service.

January 2017 after making some online payments and looking at my bank statements I realised that I was still paying for this service that I requested to be cancelled back in September! I called their billing department gave them my situation and they opened a case to investigate. I gave them all the proof with the email and correspondence with them. I was told by the billing department rep that my service will be cancelled within the week and they will pay me back the money from 1 November 2016.

To date this service has still not been cancelled and I’m still paying R699 for a service that is supposed to be cancelled. I have called numerous times since January and the only feedback that they give me is that they are still investigating the case and that someone will get back to me.

This is ridiculous and the worst customer service that I have ever experienced Telkom just does not care for the fact that I have requested the service to be cancelled, have opened a case on this and just continuous to take my money on a monthly basis as if nothing has changed, I mean it has been eight months!
