It is impossible to cancel a monthly payment service for an email address with Telkom.

I am very unhappy with with Telkom's service. I have had an Intekom e-mail account with Telkom since the inception of e-mails many years ago. I was paying Telkom monthly fee of R79 for this service, whereas I could have changed to a free service with other service providers. During the early stages of the Covid lockdown the Telkom service stopped working. As everyone in Telkom seemed to be working from home, I was simply not able to get the service back again regardless of the e-mails I have send. At that stage I did not make use of the Telkom Call Centre, as in my case, telephone calls were simply not answered. I have tried twice to get the account cancelled via the Telkom Shops at Centurion Mall, also with no success. E-mails I am sending to every possible Telkom address, simply does not get responded to (not even an acknowledgement of a read receipt or delivery receipt). So far I have requesting my bank to reverse the Telkom debit orders, but the bank is charging me more than the monthly amount from Telkom. In the meantime, I changed to a more reliable service provider, with all the administration effort that goes with the changing an e-mail address. After many requests to cancel the Telkom account, an amount is still deducted monthly from my account per debit order. I simply do not know what to do anymore, other than to take the legal route. I just know that this is not the way in which to run a company and be successful.
