Is the switch over to Fibre really all that great

I have had Telkom ADSL for 15 year's with very little problems, now we are supposed to get excited about "Fibre" to replace Cable, after only 1 week after the switch over I am without Internet? Is it Telkom or Open Serve service

My issues have been resolved, it is a matter of being connected to the right person at the right time, and as before I am very happy with Telkom Service
