Is TELKOM a ***** forcing customers to pay for services they dont want
Hi i am trying to cancel my month to month DSL contract but have been give the run around by Telkom call centre agents. My line was suspended i called in and told them i'm unemployed and would like to cancel. I was told to pay the outstanding amount and my line will be unsuspended and i could then cancel. I paid the outstanding amount went onto their online cancellation site to do the cancellation and could not proceed with it as it still had my line listed as suspended. I have callled the call centre on numerous occasions to resolve this only to get the runaround by the various call centre agents . Each one telling me a different senario from your line will be unsuspended in 2-4 hrs, when your payment reflects on our system, i have escalated your issue it will be done by the days end, i have logged an issue with our IT department it will be done anytime from when i logged the issue till the days end and now it takes up to 48hrs for our IT department to unsuspend you. The funny thing is my line was active an hr after i made payment (internet up an working) it is just not unsuspended on their system so that i can cancel my month to month contract. Is Telkom forcing me to stay in a contract i can no longer afford, **************** , how may other customers are they doing this too the longer they draw it out the more money they make ripple effect must be 100's if not 1000's of customers they doing this too. BOTTEM END THEY COME OUT MORE PROFITABLE AT THEIR CUSTOMERS EXPENSE the longer they keep us in these contracts we want out off. Funny fact they suspended my line the day i fell behind with my payments and reactivated the line 1 hr after i payed my outstanding amount but can't seem to unsupsend my account on their online cancellation system so that i can cancel even though i have paid more than my outstanding amount.
