Is Cyber Monday real?

My "Cyber" Monday started by me browsing for a new phone on the Telkom website and came across just what I have been looking for. I quickly fill in the application and wait for a response. About 30 minutes later I receive a call from one of the consultants who had talked me through the application which he said was pre-approved. He then mentioned it was to go through credit vetting before it can be officially approved which I had no issue with. Ended the call and was extremely happy with their efficient service. About 2 hours later to my surprise I receive an sms stating my application has been unsuccessful due to credit vettiing. I quickly call the call centre to query this because to my knowledge I am 100% sure my credit score it excellent. The consultant then says my application was declined due to a low credit score. And explained the system used is automated and because all information is provided over the phone and they do not have all my documents (which is their normal process) they cannot prove what I have given is correct. I then asked if i could send through my documentation to prove it's accuracy I was told the system doesn't allow that and thatch can only re-apply after 3 months. I then ask to speak to a manager and was told they do not have any managers. I then cut the call and call back to speak to another consultant who then asked for my ID number and had a proper look at my application. She then stated my application was unsuccessful because the information I had given does not match what is captured on transunion and that I should call them and update my details and re-apply. I then call transunion and was told there is no way my application could get rejected due to my cell phone number not being the same as people change numbers all the time. I then call the call centre back and insist on speaking to a manager. I was then given another call centre department number to call where I eventually get put through to a manager. I explained the whole issue to him who then said that the agent who said my change of number was issue is correct however to his knowledge the service they use is experian and that I should change my number there and re-apply. He says he cannot garuntee me the phone unless this is changed before they close at 8am but assured me it does not take long. At 20:10 I get an email with my credit report that is absolutely clear however I have now missed out on the deal. I would firstly like to know what the criteria is to open a contract considering my credit rating is good. All the information which was asked over the phone was exactly what was asked in the experian credit report application where I had given my NEW number as well. There was absolutely no issue with any information I had given in the experian application which was exactly what I had given and my credit report came out 100% clear. I would like for Telkom to be in contact with me to resolve this issue. My application was made in good faith but did not receive the same from Telkom. Not one person who assured me today has given me a valid reason for the rejection of my application and would like someone from Telkom who can give me a valid reason to please explain if not ,would like for Telokm to give me the deal as advertised. This application has used up lots of my time and patience and has been extremely frustrating.
