Internet speed as slow as a snail!

I am not writing to complain. The aim is to get feedback as to whether anything could be done about the product we would really like to upgrade to for faster internet speed. Our line speed is currently 2mbps. We are finding it terribly slow to use. Our adsl contract was due for renewal last month. We heard about a package that Telkom offers called smart home advanced. Our neighbour just recently signed up for the same package. That's where we heard about it and decided to choose the same package since it was faster. According to her, her package was upgraded to the smart home advanced package and her speed has really improved.<br> We called the upgrades department on 01 June to upgrade our package. It was done successfully and we were given an upgrade reference number. When we recently followed up we were advised that we don't have any coverage for 4mb as we are to far from the exchange and that we had to remain on the current package. We just want to know if it would be possible to upgrade to the above package as our current line speed is really slow. It has become worse over the past few months. We would really appreciate any feedback regarding the above.
