Intermittent Connection Issues

After running more or less smoothly for 2 and a half months(there have been issues, but those issues at the time did not affect me for more than a day at the most), my issues have returned. Once again I'm experiencing the problem where my connection drops intermittently and renders my internet borderline unusable in the evenings for anything that requires a constant internet connection.

550CWK070717 was logged on Friday 07 July. I was phoned on Sunday morning 09 July and asked if there was still an issue. Having not experienced any issues so far that morning(as mornings are usually fine) I told the consultant phoning that it seems fine, but can't say for sure till later. The call was closed, and lo and behold, 3 hours later my issue was back and halted my internet usage for the majority of the rest of the day.

Replying on the automated messages afterward to advise that the issue has not been resolved yielded nothing.

I have logged 2 calls since Sunday afternoon using your automated fault logging system, and have yet to receive any contact regarding both times I logged another fault.

Can a technician please be sent out to properly investigate what the issue with my line is.

I have already purchased a new router, on top of getting brand new cabling, so everything that could possibly be an issue on my end has now been covered and/or replaced, short of ripping telkoms cabling out of the wall to ensure that everything is in order with THAT as well.

If a solution cannot be found, I would request that Telkom run a new line to my house if they must, as I cannot for the life of me understand how nobody can find a problem on my line, yet they cannot explain my intermittent connection issues either.

On top of the above, I would appreciate if I could get an status update on the request I put in to have my line released to the holding pool for aquisition by another ISP. Request was put in 2 weeks ago with all the information required by telkom, yet I am still waiting for a Telkom Representative to contact me.

I mean, I'm really struggling to see how you live up to your Company Customer Values (Customer First, We exist to serve the customer, We never stop working to get it right, Interaction is opportunity, We are relentless in getting it right). From my perspective? You're failing spectacularly on all of those values.

I would appreciate a timely response on my issue.

Thank you,

Simon.

Hello simon-grayfox

Unfortunately we were not able to reach you on the contact number provided.

The fault is currently being attended to by a technician.

Reviewer Update

Thank you for the above.

A technician did end up contacting me and supposedly sorting out my line.

I can see that the ADSL line is once again connected, however it would seem the passwords have been reset on my ADSL account for whatever reason and has been a battle to get this sorted out.

Is it possible that anyone can advise why the passwords were reset without any request to do so, as well as why we were not informed of the password reset, or what the new password is?

Please note this is not the settings on the Router, as I am unable to access my account through the relevant telkom sites either.

Regards,

Simon.
