Telkom didn’t Debit money from my account for the month of December, so I called in and requested an immediate debit. I was told they can’t debit from my account immediately, and that I’d have to do an EFT to the banking details they provided.
I did the EFT (with the correct ref no) and now I received an invoice that I’ll be double debited for the month of January. I was also charged a penalty fee of R200 on top of that double debit (because apparently my account didn’t have sufficient funds when they debited).
-Firstly they debited on a date I didn’t agree upon. A date that was 3 days before my salary date, then they want to charge me for that. -Secondly they don’t recognise the EFT I made in December as it’s not included on the invoice.
I sent an email about this, and I didn’t receive any response. I called in a few days later and I was assisted by a very rude agent by the name of Kamogelo Motha who didn’t even want to put his supervisor or manager on the phone. His response was (Do you want me to call my manager to tell you the very same thing I’m telling you?). After I went back and forth with this Agent he told me that his manager is busy and she will call me back at 6PM on Jan 11th. It’s Jan 12th 19:00 and I still haven’t received a call back from Telkom.
I’ve been a very reliable and loyal client to Telkom and I’ve never skipped a payment with my payment of R674.84 on the 25th of every month.
Why should I now be debited R1559.20 for January?? This is absurd and I demand answers from someone and for this mess to be fixed immediately!
