Incorrect information provided

Telkom called me last week Friday (25/05/2018) to complete my online application. The guy that did my application mentioned that the sim will be activated within 48 hours after delivery and if i want the card to be activated on the same day i receive the router, I should give Telkom a call and request for the activation. I received my Router today and when I called their call centre I spoke to a guy named Lebohang and he tells me that if it is an online application then it will take 72 hours for them to have the card activated and there is nothing they can do on their side, I should wait for 72 hours.

I told the guy (Lebohang) that I was told that I should contact them to have the card activated. I even told him that what makes me irate is that i have been given the incorrect information, he then responded that there is nothing they can do cause I got the info from the sales department. The sales department falls under Telkom so the fault here is with Telkom.

I am not happy with the way everything has been handled. I have been told that if i want the sim to be activated on the same day i receive the router then i should give them a call. Now I am told about 72 hours????????? T
