Incorrect device type delivered

I received a phone call from one of your sales team about a phone contract with Telkom.

We engaged in a conversation where she wanted to sell me a phone on contract. I enquired about an iPhone 16 colour Pink 256GB. she said she can assist by checking if I can qualify. She asked me some questions which I answered to the best of my knowledge and she said I must wait for a week until she comes back with feedback.

After a week, she said they have approved the device and they can deliver anytime after the approval. The deliver guys came over with the delivery order number ***A.

I the courier guys said if the delivery is wrong I must contact telkom and they will set a date for collection. I contacted Telkom and they have not even attempted to come and collect the order which led me to want to cancel the phone contract since I was still on the early stages of my application. Telkom attempted to take their first debit order on the 1st of June and I did not authorise any debit check with them. Even on the 20th of June they attempted to take another amount from my account which amounts to R1800.

Kindly assist me with this issue since your sales team keeps on giving me false information about this cancellation. The last sales person gave me a reference for follow ups reference ***.

Please get the courie guys to come and collect their device from me since it’s not being used and it’s still wrapped. I cannot be bound by contract on a wrong item that is delivered.

I will be waiting for your response as soon as possible before this matter is escalated to higher level.
