Incorrect Billing - Atrocious Service

Billing Account Number ( ********** 15)

Invoice no ********** 771

Reference ********** ********** 95030

Having received my invoice for July, I was quite alarmed that I am being billed for an old phone which I upgraded in December 2015 and the amount invoiced is R 1000.00 in excess of my usual invoice amount on the upgraded phone.

I contacted the call center whom by the way are limited to resolving any complex issues and was advised that they have prorated an upgrade issued June 2016 will sums the invoice amount. I was shocked that for 6 months they have debited my account correctly on the upgrade taken out in December 2015 and suddenly they revert to my old cell phone contact and invoice me on that.

I was provided with a case number ********** 0 and advised a consultant will get back to me within 72 workings hours.

I contacted them again on the 26th for further updates to my case only to find that it was closed with no details updated on the call and feedback was that they attempted calling me on an old ********** 503 number which no longer exists.

I provided them with an alternate number and being a customer on an active line with them, no one thought to try my work or active line with them.

The service gap issues underpinned by the lack of efficient communication between the call center and billing department is evident as another case would be required to be logged as the call center is unable to contact the billing department yet no service was rendered on the invoice issued logged.

Their processes should improve internally to ensure the is constant and efficient communication between the call centre and billing department as client have to wait 72 working hours for nothing?????

The debit order has gone of my account and yet no feedback has been provided for an incorrect billing?

Hi Luleka,
Receiving my enquiry is one thing but resolving it remains a mystery as Telkom customer service feedback or resolution of enquiries surpasses all service failures I have ever experienced with customer service to date and I am certain it will only worsen from here as there is no assurance that things will ever improve.
Having failed to get back to me on the previous case number logged which I assume contacting me on my old number was confirms that you had resolved my case, it was no surprise that a new case number was logged.
Logically if a new case number is logged referencing to a previous closed case number- with the same service request, I should receive expedite feedback as the case would require reviewing the closed case number and providing sufficient feedback.
AS EXPECTED, YOUR TURN AROUND TIME ON THE NEW CASE DENOTES HOW YOUR OVERALL TURN AROUND TIME IS WAY BELOW INDUSTRY STANDARDS AND WILL CONTINUE BEING THE CASE.
PLEASE PROVIDE FEEDBACK WITHIN THE NEXT 48 BUSINESS HOURS INSTEAD OF 72 WORKINGS HOURS WHICH ADSS UP TO 9 DAYS (PATHETIC)
