Incorrect billing

<p>Hi Telkom,</p> <p> </p> <p>I signed up for a data contract in March this year, for what was then deal of the month which was a Huawei WiFi router + 5GB and a Huawei Media Tab T + 500MB all for R199. Upon sign up, I explicitly stated over the phone to the consultant I had been speaking to that I wanted my line to be capped! First and second months were billed correctly. I then did not bother to continue checking my statements, as my cellphone contract premium also never changes, but in September on the 20th however, I noticed that I was billed R699. I thought there was a problem of some sort. I monitored my internet usage, took the data sim out of the modem as it got to 4.9GB during the month of October. </p> <p> </p> <p>Last week on Thursday, 20th of October, there was another debit order, a debit of R699 again! I had previously learned about an article which was published on the website MyBroadband - and I was also a victim of such : http://mybroadband.co.za/news/telecoms/183068-r40-million-incorrect-billing-of-telkom-accounts.html</p> <p> </p> <p>I got a statement and realized that up to this point, there had been 4 debits made from my account of R699, which were all supposed to be R199 each. I took it upon myself to go to a Telkom Direct store on Friday to enquire on this, I also went to the bank and had the last payment reversed. I will make a payment into my account which will be R199.</p> <p> </p> <p>There was a case opened with reference number : ********** 1. Please investigate this, and I need my money back for the past three months, that should be R1,500. I never signed for this, and I would not have signed for it. </p> <p> </p> <p>It is a good thing because every call is recorded, find the call, analyse it and return my money please.
