*********** Telkom employees
I cancelled Telkom services on 27 September 2017 via Email. I received an email acknowledging the receipt on 27 September 2017 whereby they indicated that my request will be attended to within 21 days. (NOTHING WAS DONE!!). I kept on receiving tax invoices every month. I then forwarded a cancellation to Telkom again on 25 January 2018 via Email. I again received acknowledge of receipt on the 25 January 2018. (NOTHING WAS DONE!!)
Currently my account is R1851.00 for the line from October 2017 to May 2018 which was requested to be cancelled on 27 September 2017. I went to Telkom to request that the line be cancelled as indicated on the email forwarded to them on the 27 September 2017 which they told me that the line COULD NOT BE CANCELLED BEFORE THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT OF R 1851 WAS SETTLED. How can I be held responsible for their incompetence to ensure that the line was cancelled on the 27 September 2017. I do understand that I might be liable for October 2017 account, but this should have been the final account. I therefor request that Telkom should reverse all invoices done after date of cancellation as I cannot be held liable for their incompetence.
