***********. 'Nuf said! Or should one hold out hope?

I posted this on Facebook and thought to post it here as well.

On Dec 28, 2016 I went into the Telkom store at Kenilworth Centre to upgrade my wifi from 20GB to 30GB. I was told that the work order had been submitted and that the upgrade would be processed in a day or two. I won't name the rep I spoke with because this was my second time with this *********** person. However, you can look him up because you asked me to grade him and I gave him a 2.
Today, Jan 27, 2017, I found out that the upgrade HAD NOT been processed. I found this out because I RAN OUT OF GBs. A call centre agent told me that I WOULD HAVE TO SORT THIS OUT with the store, and not with her because she could not correct the issue.
My other problem with Telkom occurred Thur Jan 26, 2017. I went into the Telkom Store at Blue Route Centre in Tokai to renew my 1GB free me boost with free calls to Telkom numbers. The employee inputted the wrong info, and I ended up with Telkom data only. Telkom's call centre was called and I was told that I should wait to see if my free minutes were texted to me, because the data part was in the system to Mar 1. Today, Fri Jan 27, a Telkom call centre rep told me that the data package sold to me was NOT THE FREE ME BOOST PACKAGE, and that I would have to go back to the store to have the manager correct this.
WHY ARE TELKOM AGENTS not authorized to exercise judgement and resolve minor issues such as these. This is the norm in North America and, yes, I am aware that comparisons are odious. Now, instead of me being able to resolve both issues online as a NORMAL online company would operate, I have to waste even more time in a 2-hour Telkom line (MORE INEFFICIENCY) x2 to sort out a problem CAUSED BY TELKOM employees or agents if your stores are franchised.
What is with this incompetence? Why do you continue to employ individuals who are incapable of doing their job? I say fire them and employ people who really want employment and believe in customer service. There are enough educated yet unemployed South Africans available for this.

btw: because I refuse to buy more wifi GBs, I am hotspotting, using up my mobile data. I really think Telkom that you should restore this lost data because my lack of wifi is caused by your representative(s).

Sorry for the delay in replying to your response.

Below is a response I posted to Facebook on Jan 28 about my mobile phone. I'll sort out my internet issue when I have the strength.

Give this man a pay raise!
After posting how upset I was that I would have to go back to Telkom Blue Route to fix an incorrect data and airtime issue, I made the trek because my prepaid expires today.
Let me give full praise to Shaheed who listened to me and resolved the problem immediately.
If only Shaheed was the norm at Telkom.
