*********** AND RELUCTANT OFFICIALS

we are currently paying telkom on average R9000 pm. On the odd occasions where we paid 2/3 days late we had to pay interest which was done. Telkom however seems to have no interest regarding the impact faulty lines plays in running of a business. Clients are not able to hear when communicating with the office, neither can office staff communicate effectively with clients. this has a baring upon the economic viability of our current lack of effective communication. upon reporting the faulty lines to the Telkom Cape Town Branch, we were constantly provided with reference numbers or just advised to contact the call center. Call centre in turn provides no joy using the current faulty line as they cant hear us. So how do we call? Even for Telkom officials implementing their policy doesn't make sense, they still feel obliged to follow them Irrespective of what the client has to endure, Telkom still expects payment in accordance with the contract. This problem started in early December 2015. This non caring attitude by service providers really needs to be addressed by the ombudsman. Should Telkom contracts for non or defective services provides for penalties they would have been bankrupt.
