*********** and an extra line received

Dear sir / madam,

I am only writing to you as I am currently at my wits end...my husband had a massive stroke on October 2014, which left him blind in 1 eye, unable to walk steadily and cant comprehend as normal.

Due to the above issue, our lifestyle had to be adjusted. As my husband can no longer comprehend proper sentences , I went into a Telkom branch in the Phoenix Plaza and asked them to change the landline ( ********** 051) from his name to my name for ease of future use ( as when a sales rep etc from Telkom calls, he cant answer any questions to verify that it is the correct person).

Instead of making our lives easier during this sad time, the assistant opened a new line and charged it to my name name. Please bear in mind that no extra telephone was installed etc. However I didnt know about the new line being opened until I received a bill on the new number with calls made - these are calls which I have not made. A consultant also at one point told me that the new line belongs to someone else, if it belongs to someone else, how does it keep coming to my address, with my name and my details.

I have since been going back and forth to Telkom and not 1 person in that branch can assist me with anything. I am terribly dissappointed with the service. I am not willing to pay for the extra line created and the calls made as I have not made any of those. All I want is to have my first line changed from my husbands name to my name, is that too much to ask of ? Now that account is handed to the lawyers and my good name is going down the drain because of stupid people that work at Telkom.

I would really appreciate some assistance as with my husband in this situation it is very hard for me to keep going to the Phoenix Plaza with him

Thank you kindly.

Mrs K Moodley
