Incompetence beyond measure and lack of business etiquette

If you think of switching to Telkom for cheaper data and mobile deals, I strongly recommend reconsidering that thought. Though Vodacom and MTN are considered expensive, you will safeguard yourself from levels of incompetence beyond imagination. These include account consultants that do not know their own processes, accounts systems (mobile, desktop and consultants) that are not synchronized, systems (mobile, desktop and consultants) that give a different account balance at same time. I run a small business and my three lines have been closed since Friday 28 Feb 2020 to date because according to one Telkom consultant, Telkom has been tracking my account from Monday 24 Feb and “your bank has not authorised the transaction, your services will be activated once the payment reflects”. I have been running these lines for over 14.5 months and there has never been an unpaid invoice or an invoice that is over 1 day due to date but it took just a press of a button from Telkom to deny my business revenue for the end of month February 2020. Its Tuesday 04 March and my lines are still suspended even after making a payment physically myself on Monday 03 March. My problems with Telkom begun in January 2020 when I could foresee liquidity problems for my business and decided to pay my account early in consultation with a Telkom consultant who gave assurance that “as long as you manual payment is done 5 days before your debit order date, you have nothing to worry about”. Come 18 February 2020 my lines were suspended for the first time since moving my lines Telkom. Upon consultation with consultants I was informed their system have not updated, hence the suspension of lines, mind you the account was paid 23 days prior. I have been shocked by the level of care free consultants, high levels of incompetence and disregard. Whilst I wait for Telkom to come to its senses I hope that others our there become cautious and expect the unexpected when it comes to this company.
