Inability to fix cable fault at Telkom exchange

I've been advised for over two months that Telkom has a cable fault in the exchange that services my ADSL line at home. This I can accept as these thing happen but what's unacceptable is not fixing it. There is an inability to deploy the correct personal to rectify the fault or perform the necessary task. This is apparent as numerous technicians have been sent out (as per the log sheet recorded by Telkom).

The staff at the call centre are unable to do much as the technicians do not feedback to contact the customer as promised. What else can I do to get my service working properly? There is no-one to talk to for meaningful feedback and no progress in getting the problem solved.

Please may I have contact details for this escalation number and the management person to contact. I was informed today by a technician that, "He has replaced some of the cable problem but if that does not work it's too bad! My problem is not unique to my exchange and in fact a national problem." Not want you want to hear when your paying for a service. It's concerning that no-one from management will pick phone can explain or reassure me as to what the plan is with some time line attached to it. The call centre staff all reassure me that they will get to the bottom of 'it', whatever it is, but all within three days stop updating me and stop responding to my emails. Why is this? Is it because Telkom does not know how to fix the problem?
