Impossible to get to speak to a sales consultant

I have being trying to get to speak to a sales person to sign up for a Telkom Land line for the past 3 days,and all i hear is music in my ears,and hold on for hours with no joy.Is it this hard to speak to someone from TELKOM,and after i do get to speak to someone now,i will have to wait for weeks to have my services up and running.TELKOM should make life easier,simpler and convenient.
