Impossible to cancel landline

We bought a house so we had to cancel our current Telkom line. I cancelled the line well before a months notice online and thought it would be a smooth process. On 15 September 2018 at 09:23am Siyaboga called me from ********** 994 and said we wanted to transfer my line. I told him I wanted to CANCEL the line and then he said he couldn't as there is a service provider still connected to the line. I asked Siyaboga to call me on 28 September 2018 and he said he would do it as this would give me time to figure out the issue with the service provider. He never called and my line was never cancelled, and there is no service provider connected to my line anymore. Siyaboga clearly stated that we would put a reminder on his system to call me, now Telkom is charging me for another month?

This is a serious issue for me as there are new tenants in the flat and they can easily make phone calls on my bill. This all because Telkom is sleeping on the job. I clearly mentioned in my phone call that if Telkom deducts any money from my account that I would block them and reverse the funds as I did EVERYTHING they told me to do and assured me they wont charge me again.

To be honest we were thinking of adding a Telkom line to our new house but now I wont even consider it. At the end of my Telkom cellphone contract I will also cancel my subscription.

Still nothing has happened from this issue and Telkom is still debiting my account. Afrihost told me they are not connected to the line and Telkom can just cancel it. This is possibly a way to ***** funds from customers as I cannot see why you would still bill me for a service not rendered.
