Impossible Telkom ADSL migration
I have been trying to migrate my ADSL line to Afrihost. After calling 10210, I was told to log the request online. After teaching the call centre consultant that the feature is not available in the new online portal and only the old portal, I logged the request where it said a consultant would be in touch and supp**** a reference number and email. After no feedback for some weeks, I called 10210 billing dept in PE who said that their supervisor could log this request. After no return call as promised after a few days, I called again, another supervisor was supposed to assist and same, no reply. And once more for good measure. In the interim, I was also told to call ********** 676, Telkom Wholesale, who seemed to be very knowledgeable and said that 10210 can log the request immediately and isn’t sure why they keep turning customers away. I had been referred to ********** 676 a number of times from 10210. But ********** 676 keeps referring me back to 10210!! Each time waiting 20-40 minutes for 10210 to answer. I am still waiting for action, have gone to twitter and now Hello Peter and hope this will get resolved. I shudder to think what would happen if I ever wanted to cancel the line completely! Telkom appears in total disarray if the my perception of the company is anything to go by. I am a loyal Telkom customer with 3 telephone lines, two ADSL connections and two mobile routers. I have experienced excellent fault reporting service in previous years but wonder how that is going these days.
