Impossible cancellation

I have been trying to cancel a telephone line since January 2021 I have phoned every month and been promised it will be cancelled each time and we will be credited. 6 months later and nothing has changed. I am told it will be escalated but that's as far as it goes, our invoice stays the same and we are forced to pay so that our other lines are not suspended.
