I'm donating R300 per month to Telkom since Nov 2016.
I have been trying to cancel a Telkom LTE contract since November 2016 and achieved absolutely no success and even less correspondence.
Around June 2016(i stand corrected) i took out a LTE contract for R300 per month and had some issues with signal. In November 2016 we decided that a Fixed line ADSL would be better; I contacted the relevant department and asked questions around the possibility of upgrading to which the consultant said, that is no problem. I was fully aware that the migration is from LTE to ADSL hence me seeking assurance and then reassurance from 2 different consultants before proceeding to perform the so called 'upgrade' I have reference numbers and consultant names and sent them the necessary correspondence but no success and no communication.
Good day,
Herewith notice to cancel LTE contract with immediate effect, with account number, 33455***1. I have migrated from this contract to a 24 month fixed line contract with Telkom on order number, 18076***8. I was advised that there will be zero penalty on the basis that I am renewing with another Telkom product on reference number, 1807***86A and spoke to consultant, Sibusisiwe. The above had also been confirmed with Samantha G***x prior to accepting the new contract. My reason for making this change is due to signal loss at random times and moving toward a fixed line with a telephone.
I trust all is in order. For any further information, contact 0x41785*** or 0x22980***
Kind Regards, S & G
I copied the proof of the email that i sent 16/11/2016 for which i received no correspondence.
While trying to fix this problem since then, i am told that one cannot migrate from LTE to ADSL and they cannot assist me. They seem to just push the rule book my way and totally ignore the fact that i have reference numbers and names.
Let's see to what extent one has to complain to actually get someones attention.
