******* transactions

Telkom had a 2 year promotional deal running in 2017(5G day and 5 G night time data). It was R 150 at the time.On the 18 Feb 2017,I opened the contract at the branch in Cavendish. The consultant then asked me if I wish to upgrade after the contract expires on the 17 February. 2019 and I said no it needs to be cancelled. He then completed the document and I signed agreeing to cancelling after it expires and purchasing my own airtime. He informed me that It would be prepaid and no extra funds incurred.I have been purchasing my own airtime from the date the contract expired until March 2020 when the sim card stopped working.I received no signal and the sign on the top right corner of my phone would indicate that there's no coverage .I called in on numerous occassions trying to resolve this issue and was told that i need a new sim card.I then changed my network provider because Telkom couldn't assist me when I explained that the sim card wasn't damaged. I then noticed that Telkom started deducting an amount of R58.07 inApril,May,June,July,August and September ,take cognisance that the sim card has not been utilised and i do not have any contract with them.I then called in and I was told i had a Smart one rate contract.I explained that I have not agreed to this as I cancelled in 2019 when the consultant asked me if i will be utilising the prepaid option.Telkom has been deducting these funds on the 15th of the month and I don't know who gave them the right to do so as I receive my monthly income at the end of the month.I have been paying bank fees every time they deduct on the 15th because there are no funds in my account on the 15th and I don't have any agreement with Telkom to deduct on the 15th. I'm not liable to pay for a contract i didn't sign for. did I give them permission to deduct on the 15th?.The consultant told me on the 16 September that I would have to cancel the Smart one rate and I am still extremely confused because I did not agree to this.I agreed to purchase my own anytime. He told me Telkom has been giving me data and I was shocked because the sim card has not been receiving any network coverageKindly check and see that the sim card is not active.I then told him to cancel not knowing what he's supposed to cancel because I did not agree to this arrangement. I received a notification on the 16 October stating that Telkom deducted R 603.40 from my account .At the time i had no funds available for this transaction in the account as i reiterate that i have no agreement with Telkom and I incurred R147 charges in bank fees.Kindly note that I did not give them authority to deduct on the 15 the.Why would they do that? Now I have to pay bank fees for a service that I'm not utilising. What am I paying for? If you do your audit it should reflect the type of contract I had and the payments I made when utilising the prepaid service and when the sim card was not active.I don't know what the 603.40 is for and now I'm paying an extra cost for a contract I cancelled in 2019. Telkom consultants are trying to manipulate me into believing that I did not cancel however that doesn't add up if I've been purchasing airtime when I cancelled..

Telkom has no right to be in account without my permission without relaying necessary information. They have not contacted me explaining anything.

I want Telkom to refrain from deducting money from my account .I don't know what I'm paying for.The sim card doesn't work! I cancelled in 2017 when I signed that I do not wish to proceed with an upgrade after the contract expires and opted for prepaid.

Who is going to pay my bank fees? Why has a 603.40 been deducted out of my account? This is absurd!!!!THE SIM CARD HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVE FOR MONTHS AND I DID NOT AGREE TO ANY SMART ONERATE CONTRACT.I CANCELLED IN 2019!!!!

I feel that this is ******* and I will open a case of theft because Telkom has been *****ing my money!

I have lodged so many complaints with no response and they keep deducting.I am livid because I don't recall agreeing to a smart onerate contract. I cancelled when I was asked to cancel and had a prepaid useless sim card that is not working.

Kindly deal with this injustice. It's ****************.
