Ignored by Telkom

My father lives in Kroonstad and turns 90 in a month time. We reported a faulty telephone line on 27 Feb 2017 (21CVZ270217). Up to now we had no action. His neighbours phones als went down at the same time but was fixed in the mean time. His line however remains dead. We tried to follow up a number of times but to no avail. As a 90 year old individual he is thus cut of from communication as he also struggles with the technology of cell phones.

It seems as if Telkom is either not able or not willing to attend to the matter - how can only one line in an erea remain faulty.

In the mean time I app**** online for a FLLA (wireless) phone for him and got a message that Telkom will phone me in 48 hours. Today is a week later and on enquiry at Telkom Alberton I was told that the area he lives in is not covered by the wireless network. Why was I not informed?

It is obvious that Telkom is going for the dogs. What more do we need to do to get the phone working again - IT IS JUST ABOUT THREE MONTS NOW!!!!!

I did recieve a SMS yesterday at 13:45 stating that this is a bulk fault and hence it is taking so long. This is a totally unacceptable response:
1. If it is a bulk fault you should have worked harder on it as a number of customers will be affected.
2. You should have had the decency to inform us about the (lack of) progress
3. All of the neighbours that experienced line faults around the 27th of February have already been attended to and sorted out very soon after the event.
My feeling is that you are neglecting my parents as they are on a prepaid package and you cannot care about them as customers because you do not make enough money out of them.
I am thus not happy with your answer and I am expecting a better response
