I need a court order to view my mobile contract!

<p>I was persuaded telephonically 2 years ago to purchase an LTE 10gb contract from Telkom Mobile. I have had numerous issues with this contract over time, including data vanishing rapidly overnight even when my PC was switched off, data speeds nothing like what I was told I would experience, and also a total inability to view how much data I have available at any point in the month. At the end (or what I thought was the end) of my contract, I tried to cancel, only to be told I had signed up for 3 years. As I had never physically signed a contract, I asked for proof to be provided that I had signed up for 3 years, and was then told that I needed to obtain a court order, before I would be provided with a copy of the telephone call in which I had apparently agreed to this contract. This is incredible - why is Telkom so reluctant to release this "contract" unless it is because it would reveal that they promised far less than they delivered, and also because it would prove I did not sign up for 3 years? I have visited Telkom shops, had numerous conversations with Telkom, but to no avail. What a pathetic company. I would advise anyone being called by a Telkom agent to end the call, as otherwise you will have no proof of what you are agreeing to. </p>
