I am very disatisfied with telkom

Yesterday 05/05/2021 I went to Telkom in Potchefstroom Mooi river Mall as it is the nearest Telkom shop to me. I live in Fochville and there is no Telkom shop here. I needed to do a sim swam. When I got there the lady sitting at number 1, she had short hair I forgot to take her name... she asked me to provide her with an ID and proof of address. I told her I do have the proof of address and my driver's license as proof of identification. she said she will not help me with the driver's license because I will walk away happy with a sim swap and she will lose her job.

What I don't understand is, how is a driver's license not used as proof of identification? worst part of it all, I drove all the way to another town for such poor service..wow
