I am requested to install a Telkom line which I must then rent from Telkom

<p>Telkom (eventually) sent out a technician to my home who could not locate a line. I am now being asked to get hold of an electrician (Telkom also could not refer me to anyone) to lay pipes and install a line into my house. This does not make sense, why my I incur costs to have a Telkom line installed then I have to pay a monthly rental fee to rent said line from Telkom. </p>
