Huawei, Vodacom, Telkom, Bytes People Solutions and Altron passing the buck to the client.
Nutshell: 1. I got a Huawei P10 from Telkom (Greenacres, Port Elizabeth) and got told that I have 1 free screen repair for the first year of the contract. 2. The screen broke and I visited Telkom to enquire about the free repair. 3. I was directed to Huawei whom I called to confirm that I have a free repair and how I go about using the service. I expressly asked whether I qualified for the “benefit”. 4. The lady gives me instruction on how to make use of the “benefit” and we proceed to book my phone in. 5. The phone gets collected and taken to Cape Town after which I am told that I do not qualify for the “benefit” Issues: 1. Why does the sales agent misrepresent the benefit and not get held accountable for her actions? Instead, I am being prejudiced. 2. Why did I get instructions to book my phone in when I asked if I can? Instead, the agent tacitly confirmed that I can make use of the benefit and she does not get held accountable; again, to my prejudice. 3. This is clearly a misrepresentation on the part of Telkom, Bytes People Solutions (Altron), Voda Deals or Vodacom and Huawei but Tashreeqoh Mobara ********** (Vada Deals); Bwalya Prisca Mutale ********** (Bytes People Solutions); Nkululeko Nhlapo ********** (Altron); Bongani Dhlamini ********** (Altron); Kganelo Mogoai ********** (Altron) and Ida Fourie ********** (bytes People Solutions)
