How long does it take to port a contract?
<p>I entered a Telkom Mobile store on 7 June 2016 (N1 City) to port a number from MTN. All the paperwork was signed and finalised and there was some initial hiccups with the port. A month has passed and the number has still not been ported! I have been trying to contract the Telkom store but nobody answers the phone - I've tried calling on different days and multiple times. I've also tried send numerous emails to the consultant that assisted me and no response. This service is absurd - it seems that they are incentivised to only get the contract signed but not interested in seeing the port through to completion. If this is the service (or lack thereof) before porting to Telkom Mobile perhaps I should reconsider! </p>
One week later (and 5 weeks into the process) the number has still not been ported. This is ridiculously frustrating. I've called the branch on two seperate occasions this week and still no action has been taken. Telkom Mobile please resolve this matter, else just cancel the port request.
