Horrifying customer service

Telkom customer service is horrible and extremely disappointing. After apply for a phone on the 22 Feb. Sms and email received advise that they will get back too you in 48 hours. After numerous follow ups with them I finally get a call back on the 28 Feb saying its approved and a sms will be sent with detail of delivery and contract number. Today a follow up was done again as no sms was received and I was told that there is not stock I need to reapply. Why couldn't the agent that called just tell me this instead of lying and not providing the details as promised? For a huge company like this their customer service is horrifying.
