Horrible Service

We started renting a new premises which had existing telkom lines installed. The installed line number was suspended as it was in the landlords name and he was no longer making use of the line.

We app**** for a new line and number, the technition who came out to change the port to accommodate the new lines was very unpleasant and uninformed to say the least. he finaly managed to do the change over. this was on the 1st of August 2016.

The line was working fine as we could recieve calls, but we could not call out. when we phoned Telkom customer service, they said the service would become available shortly. this was on the 3rd of August.

On the 5th of August we checked the lines again and we got a message saying that the service has been suspended. since then, we have been spending more than 2hours on the phone with telkom every other day. I estimate more than 20hours spent holding and being transferred from department to department.

We finaly managed to figure out what the problem was (the line reverted back to the landlords line - which is deactivated), But now we cant get a hold of the team leader (Washim) which was supposed to get back to us. now when we phone Telkom we have to start from scratch, having to explain the issue to one *********** call centre operator after the other.

To make things worse, i recieved a bill from Telkom today in excess of R1000.00 all of this for a line that hasn't worked proppely for a single day!

After spending another 3 hours on the phone with Telkom today i decided to give up and wait untill they call me back due to non payment of my account. maybe that will instill some sort of motivation with them.

Fed up!
