********** Telkom Service
I would not recommend a Telkom product / service to any person. The ********** treatment I received over the past few years is indescribable. I wanted to cancel a Telkom product (routers) which I bought via Selldirect because I did not get the service that they promised. I could not get hold of Selldirect via the contact details the they provided. I called and visited Telkom offices, where I was informed that Telkom has no links with the, safe for the Telkom products Selldirect sells.
I stopped my subscription (debit order) to get a response from Selldirect. All went quiet. Guess what? Months after I cancelled the debit order I received a letter of demand from Telkom for this account. I did not respond to the communication and the next thing I was contacted by a debt collecting company (VVM), through which I paid and settled the account - in full in February 2020. My credit record in all major credit bureaus shows an amount of R 5 100.00 that's still in areas on my Telkom NGN account.
I received the worst experience and treatment from Telkom over the last eight months - to date. I had sent countless requests to Telkom to provide me with a paid up letter - and confirm the settlement of this account - so that I can clear my record. There isn't a relevant contact that I have not tried to call. All my emails get this automated response: '' . . . .your case was attended to . . .'' and later the query is referred to the Credit Delisting Management Team.
The response from the Customer Support Team count for nothing. You get the same, standard response, which they repetitively hash to complainants - I believe. I still have not received any response from the so-called Credit Delisting Team, and time is running out on me to secure a study loan for my child because of the dispute regarding the Telkom NGN account on my credit record.
I just pray that some day someone in this Company will bump into my request and send me a confirmation of my account (settlement). I am tired fighting this monster of a company.
