High speed ADSL with DSTV explora Promotion - ****

I registered for a a telkom phone line and high speed ADSL at Telkom Rosebank on a promotion that allows you to get a free DSTV Explora decoder. I was all excited to receive my Explora but with weeks and weeks of complaints and going to stores and calling the call centre there was no stock to be found. Today I finally get hold of someone who tells me that my account is a month-to-month contract which isn't liable for the promotion. Why would I register for the promotion and not get the right contract even thought the call to create my account states that I am getting the contract with the expectation of getting the decoder. I wasn't even told that there was a difference. The icing on top of this awesome cake, I find out that since the promotion is over I will not be able to get the Explora even if I shoot the CEO and burn the building down. I think I should just cancel my contract and close my account with them because this is shoddy service and blatant breach of contract, breach of KYC rules and I'm sure the Consumer Complaints Commission will back me in saying this in unfair to the client (of which I'm sure there are many). Absolutely crushed with disappointment. NEVER USE TELKOM
