HIGH PRICES LOW SERVICE

On the 8th of May I got a call from a Telkom representative advising me about renewing my two data contracts with Telkom that were due to expire in the following months. I promptly agreed to renew, as well as upgrade my contracts. I was advised that the new routers would be delivered on the 11th May, of which they did. The package included two sim cards that were not registered, as a result on the 19th of May I went to a Telkom store at Springs Mall to inquire about my new goodies. I was told that the two sim cards that came with the routers were not RICA'd and did not work, and that all the upgrade and the data would be added to the new sim cards as of 1st June 2018, which suited me fine as I did not need this data anyway.

In the middle of June I received my invoice from Telkom as I usually do, and the invoice has an additional amount of R500 attached to it, from paying R1,493 to R1,943 for the month of June. I took the matter up with Telkom on the 8th of June - reference: ********** 2 - and spoke to a lady whose tone bordered on pure rudeness, who somewhere in the call told me that I must just take the cost as it was. I questioned her further and below is a summary of what I got from her: - It was not her fault that my invoice was increased - She doesn't know what to do with my case - My upgrade was effected on the new system as of 15th May 2018 and thus I was charged pro-rata, which does not make any sense whatsoever as the new upgrades amounted to a total of R388 per month

She later logged a case and told me someone would return to me within 72 hours, all I got was an sms telling me that my case was resolved, when I check my invoice the amount is still the same.

No one has gotten back to me!!!!!
