Here's how to get Telkom Complaints Resolved, if all else failed for you - December 2021. Our Lines was never cancelled as per our intstruction and we had to do this to get it sorted out.

I saw countless complaints about Telkom debiting accounts of customers who has cancelled their Telkom lines.

We cancelled 4 lines on the same day. Telkom decided to only cancel 2 of those 4 lines and debited us for the rest, for months. If I didn't keep proof of screenshots (showing the Telkom site URL & Logo) which I made during the cancellation process online, and sms's which Telkom sent me when I logged the queries, I would have had no proof that we requested for all 4 lines to be cancelled. And Telkom just kept saying that their systems showed only 2 of the 4 requests.

- We followed up with Telkom countless times and told them that it was their mistake. We sent them proof. Nothing happened. - We had to pay for Bank Reversals each time when Telkom **********ly put debit orders through our account, for lines which was supposed to have been cancelled. - Telkom handed us over to 2 debt collectors and we sent all proof to them. Nothing happened. - We got blacklisted. - They handed us over to attorneys, who sent us Letter of Demands.

The only way I was able to sort it out, was to send a complaint to the Office of the Minister (https://www.gov.za/about-government/contact-directory/ministers/ministers/communications-ministry) and to the National Consumer Commission (NOT iCasa), find them here: https://www.thencc.gov.za/

Only after I logged complaints at the Office of the Minister and the NCC, did we finally get confirmation from Telkom that THEY made the mistake by not cancelling all 4 lines at the same time and that our account balance is now clear. They still need to remove the blacklisting.

I hope that the details above helps everybody else who is having the same problem with Telkom.
