Heita Contract Cancellation Impossibility

On 14/3/15 I asked for my heita contract to be cancelled (as it had already expired anyway). I was told it takes 72 hours. In April I approached The Bridge, Greenacres branch and queried how long the cancellation was still going to take to be finalised. I was told it is in the system and I must be patient. In the meantime Telkom is still debiting my bank account every month. This week I received a sms to say: for my convenience Telkom is going to increase the stop order from my bank account to R200.00. Yesterday I went to the Walmer Park branch. There I spoke to Leonora Weitz who sent an e-mail to Tozama. She told me it was \normal"for a cancellation to take months even though they promise 72 hours. She said lots of people experience this treatment from Telkom. She suggested I visit my bank and ask them to stop debits by Telkom. Today I went to my bank and stood there for a very long time. They told me I have to pay R45.00 immediately and there is no guarantee that they can stop it. Even if they by some miracle can stop it"
