have a ADSL problem since the 6th

I have been having disgusting upload speeds since the 6th of October I called Telkom and was given excuses ranging from there is nothing we can do about it , The port has been reset , You are lying , It's the modem. I tested with a friends modem had the same issue. I finally got a call logged but now is the long ****** wait for a technician to deem my problem worthy I am so tired of Telkom was hoping they would become better when they privatized.
