Hassles with cancelling a contract, and still being debited for it.

I had personally cancelled my contract with Telkom in store (Menlyn Mall) on the first of June 2019. The consultant that assisted me assured me that I would be debited once more and that a cancellation surcharge/penalty fee of R100 would apply. I obliged. On my next tax invoice, I saw (as promised by the consultant) my regular monthly fee as well as the R100 penalty fee listed on the invoice. I gladly paid this, knowing that it would be the last instalment owing to them, my contract being terminated. Low and behold, I am still being debited every month for a service I don't use, because I am not even in the country (hence the reason for cancelling my contract). I have reached out to Telkom 3 times via email, to which they have not rep****. I have already started with the next step, and have logged the dispute with the Consumer Commission and Consumer Tribunal for relief. It astounds me that I received such great service when joining Telkom, and throughout my service period with them, but when I want to cancel my contract for a legitimate reason, they cling on like leeches. Legal action seems to be the only outcome.
