Handed over for collection on a cencelled line.

I was handed over to VVM debt collectors on a telkom account that was cancelled 6 month ago. I queried with Telkom why I was still receiving invoices after cancellation, they never assisted. I spoke to 6 different people both on the website, via telephone as well as per email, no one assisted and now they want to hand me over?

This could have been settled a long time ago should they have had any customer service. This is completely unacceptable.
