Handed over a paid up account
Dear Telkom.

I was a pre-existing customer who paid you on time or early every month. When I moved I cancelled my line. Gave the 1 month notice and everything in Feb '15, my line was due for cancellation before the end of April.

I paid up my account and it was cancelled. You then continued billing me until July '15. I corresponded with your agents who agreed it was an error and it would be fixed. This is the last I heard of it.

So today when I called in to activate some products in my new home I get told that I owe less than R 500 which you handed me over to your legal department for without any prior warning. Firstly the amount does not even correlate to my monthly bill which was higher. So where did you pull this amount from?
The erroneous billing I could forgive as you said it would be sorted out. But handing me over without me even being consulted?

I am absolutely gobsmacked, you just lost a customer for no reason at all.

Had there been a legitimate amount payable I would have had no problem paying it, but this is not the case at all.

Kyle.
