GROSSLY INCORRECT BILLING

Telkom have no mechanism in place that their customer can use to sort out billing disputes.

I have looked on Telkom's website and had to submit a complaint escalation to get my billing dispute addressed. I received an automated email from Telkom saying someone would contact me. They never did.

I upgraded from a 2 meg to a 10 meg line on the 24 July 2015. Despite my best efforts, I could only get 2 meg up until I was told by Telkom on the 4 August that I need to use my new username and password to get 10 meg, they only gave me my new username and password for the first time on the 4 August.

The invoice that I received from Telkom on the 12 August (INV NO. 508B***p) has billed me for my 2 meg line, as well as my 10 meg line, from the 24 July, until the 8 September.

On the 27 August I paid the R750 for the 10 meg line that I signed up for.

Today (9 September), I get an SMS from Telkom informing me that Telkom are going to terminate my line if I do not pay the outstanding amount.

Today I call 10210 and after 3 attempts I cannot get through to an operator successfully.

I hope someone from Telkom is reading this to sort this out, otherwise I will hand this over to my lawyers.
