Got myself in Telkom quicksand, and almost lost my sanity from these Vultures

I have to admit it, Telkom nearly defeated my sanity, I probably would've had a metldown if it wasn't for my wife. You have to be very careful, aware of absolutely every detail and trap they try and set for you as a customer, you have to somewhat develop animal instincts and have razer sharp reflexes for these predatory mammals.

I never had home internet service before, or been a customer of Telkom. I figured at the start of 2017 I'll get me a landline, and a 4mb speed as it's the sweet spot, never for a second anticipating it will turn into a billing circus. The application was peachy, as all applications go when these predators smell fresh blood. The communication was clear and direct, "I need a landline for home internet with 4mb line speed, I don't have a phone it will only be for internet. I will go with a different internet provider for internet service". This information during the time of the application was apparently, according the predator, understood. Since Telkom understood I'm applying for line rental and speed only, they never created me an internet account or password, as my internet will be provided from an outside source. This application was done in January.

A month passes, I'm using Axxess as my service provider. All is well until I received the first Telkom bill of R1500. I'm a bit gobsmacked, this was not what I expected. The invoice had added extras like weekend caller and Softcap internet. I don't remember applying for Softcap internet... what sorcery is this?? So as resilient prey, I decided I'm not going to leave this matter lying down. I make calls... to clear up this billing misunderstanding, since I never received an invoice in February and a double invoice in March I was anticipating the worse and I tried to avoid this quicksand trap Telkom has set for me. But all was in vain, I got passed like a dead rabbit between billing/sales/technical support.... you know how predators like to toy with their prey once they ****ed off. The worse was the peace of mind they create over a call, like they understand I'm being invoiced unjustly and they will correct the error made by them.

March was drawing to an end, winter was coming.

On March the 31st I tried resolving the invoice yet again, trying to get that surety that Telkom has saved my ass from drowning from unwanted bills. There was a glimmer of hope, I saw this promo online.. the uncapped bundle. As I'm trying to resolve which starting to seem more and more like an unresolvable matter... sales telling me I should speak to billing and billing telling me I should speak to sales etc etc. I asked the predator to migrate my contract to the uncapped promo, but on the grounds that I'll be cleared of all arrears, and that I'll use Telkom as my exclusive internet provider.

The predator gave me peace of mind, his word. I should've seen him for what he really is, a Lannister.

According to this Lannister my account will be activated from the 1st of April and I will only be charged for the usage of my uncapped bundle which includes line rental and line speed. The 1st of April arrives and I'm over the moon, Telkom has migrated my contract... I had to phone in however to ask for the username and password since I'm using them exclusively. And since they have activated me from April month I had that false relief that they have cleared my arrears.

Then I receive another bill, R3500 for the usage of Telkom. These White Walkers was out to get me. R3500 halfway through the month of April but the Lannister over the phone and I was in agreement that the promo which includes line rental and speed is R600 pm. These White Walkers has crushed my spirit, and raised my awareness that they just do ***** deals over the phone. I was passed around like a hot coal, having to give my security details atleast 5 times in 1 call session... I should've asked to speak to a supervisor... a 'groot nek' Lannister.

My wife spoke encouraging/motivational things into me since these ****in ****s have made me very depressed.
