Google Maps knows where I live, but Telkom doesn't!!!
<p>So I recently placed an online order for a landline to be installed at my house. After confirming my address for what seems to be 100 times, Telkom has just gone silent. I called yesterday only to be told that they have opened a case on my order due to not being able to confirm my location - their system cannot find my address - but google maps can and the consultant that assisted me also found it on google maps!!! I cannot place a new order and I have to just wait until they have concluded their investigation...how pathetic is that...my line is not even installed yet and I am already dreading using Telkom.</p>
And once again, still no line installed - Telkom eventually found my House, came out and couldn't install the landline because some cables were broken in the area - cables were fixed, they came again a few weeks later and again - can't install landline cause fixed cables were not connected to some line or the other - was told by technician that they would log a call and still no word...so 3 months down the line and I am still struggling to get a freaking land line!!!
Absolutely ridiculous, poor service and no contact made to advise on what the next step in the process is. You have to pay so much for installation fees and then you have to struggle to actually get an actual installation done.
