gave notice to cancel but nothing done

In December 2015 I gave notice to cancel my 2mb uncapped DATA and 2as advised by the consultant that by 9 January 2016 it would be cancelled due to my bull run date being the 9th. I agreed and today 11th is still active.<br> Called again and advised that as of 2 august 2015 cancellations are no longer done telephonically and must be done at a store.<br> Why the he'll wasn't I advised this in December. <br> Pathetic examole for a telephone company.
