Frustrated at fault not being attended to

I recently had a Telkom phone line installed at my premises in February this year however the line has been sagging very low and I had contacted Telkom about the problem, nothing has been done and the phone line eventually cut from the telephone pole which my line connects to. I reported the matter on the 21/04/2018 and have been calling Telkom for status of progress everyday since then. My Reference number given was 242ANK290418, the matter has been escalated exactly 8 times so far, escalation number ********** . Every time I call in I had brought to the attention of the operator that the line was cut and no longer attached to the telephone pole, yet every time I call they tell me that they are testing the line and that they are unaware that the line is cut, there is nothing taken down against my fault reported except a faulty line.

On the 11/05/2018 I had called the call centre I spoke to Ncamsilele and she didn’t know what the fault was so I asked to speak to the Team leader who eventually answered, put me on hold and then cut the call. I the called 10210 again and was routed to the PE call centre and spoke to Lauren who then put me through to the PE call centre manager Sithabiso, However he could not help me all he could tell me was to carry on waiting as the matter is escalated, it has been escalated for 3 weeks. He then told me that a technician was assigned to my fault but was pulled off due to “working on a project”, after being pulled out my fault was not re assigned due to a miss understanding. Sithabiso was due to call me back and he didn’t so I then called in again on the 14/05/2018, was routed to PE again and spoke to Lauren again who told me that her manager is not at work, she informed me that no fault of a line being cut was recorded it was just left as a faulty line, she also informed me that my cell number which I had given out for contact from Telkom was taken down wrong (after me giving it to them upon every call). I later called 10210 and was routed to the KZN call centre and I spoke to Mzwandile who then informed me that my telephone (Land line) number or fault number was incorrect and that he is escalating the matter to the operations manager named Gabriel. I am still waiting for feedback and am still billed for the month with no service from Telkom. I would appreciate ICASA to review this and any other organization who can protect customers from this treatment that Telkom is handing out to us.
