Frustrated!
So I took a contract with Telkom on or about January. My first debit date would be on the last day of Feb, which i was happy with. Month end of Feb came, and the debit order went through, on the 16th of March, I get a message that reads as follows " Your service has been interrupted, plse contact the 8ta team call centre on 081 180. Regards 8.ta Team". I went ahead and contacted the 8ta team on the 17th of March and the consultant who assisted advised that I have reached and exceeded my credit limit hence the suspension of the services/Line. I enquired further as to whether it was any fault of mine or is there anything that needs to be done on my end and she advised No however my query will be escalated and my line will be connected within 5 to 24 hours. And as trivial as it sounds for me to be complaining but 24 hours is a long time for one to not be able to make calls, send texts etc for a mistake that the service provider made. Today is the 18th and i made the call again, and I reach a different consultant who also tried to assist me, I explained the whole story, and further explained that i called yesterday being the 17th and was told that my line would be reconnected. He asked me to hold so that he would escalate the matter and my line should be reconnected within 24 hours. But i was told this yesterday already, when i asked if my previous query from yesterday has not been escalated, he advised that there are notes on the system indicating this. when i asked if there's an amount that needs to be paid, he advised that there is no amount overdue. whatever is reflecting is an amount that will be debited on the last day of March. At this point i am Frustrated as i still cannot make calls... Just need my line back and performance in terms of the agreement that was concluded. Perhaps this is something that the team can look into and prevent it from even happening as it is such an inconvenience.
