From zero to HERO
After much frustration and lengthy period of trouble and outages with my connection to the net and even my landline ..I intended to cancel my account.
However, I had nothing but outstanding service from the techies at the callcentre during the entire period. They understood my frustration and tried their best to get me back up and running but to no avail. The amount of effort eventually help came in abundance and I need to say even restored my faith in humanity not to mention the UBUNTU that manifested by the experience turning it into a "good story to tell" I wish to commend all those that took my situation up but especially to the final person who was so encouraging as well as very polite that I cancelled my cancellation and restored my relationship with Telkom - that person (and I hope I have the spelling correct) is a woman named Nolwazi a true star. Another really helpful person who fought to keep my custom with Telkom is a man called Tiyani. There were many others but in closing aside from all the frustration in this instance I have always rated Telkom's callcentre is one of the best in the country. they give a new meaning to "The Extra Mile" I cannot let this go without absolute grateful commendation.
Thank you - HAPPY SPRING DAY TO ALL OF YOU I only hope that care is taken to let Nolwazi and Tiyani know that this was the outcome of their amazing service. SALUTE !

20 Sept 2017, 11:16After restoring my relationship with Telkom after cancelling my account - I receive and account with service fees for something I did not request but was offered to me as an apology. I have been charged for this "gift" even although the history of my account can prove the countless efforts I made to get my service restored after a connection outage in Rosebank Gauteng between July & August this year.
After weeks of frustration and inconvenience and having written a review complimenting all that helped me - I am insulted even further by being charged for something I did not order but which was offered to me as an APOLOGY! You guys cannot seriously expect customers to remain loyal under such circumstances what with all the other options we have now! I have been brought to tears this morning as I reach the end of my tether. Do you know that we have other challenges in life that are hard enough to deal with without this additional and unnecessary frustration due to incompetence. The reference for my account dispute is ***1 - and I was told to call back by Monday having wasted an hour of my business day already not to mention the hours of wasted time since this debacle began. Next step for me is Ombudsman.
