From bad to rotten

Having been without my landline for the first two months of the year I was thrilled to have a service again. That lasted about six weeks when I again lost the use of my landline. I reported it online on 19th April and received a reference number for the fault. 26th April a technician came and found that the line was corroded in an area and did what he called a temporary cut-out. My landline worked for a few hours when it became dead again. I again reported it online and received another reference number only to be told in the morning that the problem was resolved. I then phoned Telkom and received another reference number for my problem when they themselves confirmed that there was no dial tone. On the 1st May I received an SMS saying that my fault was with the technical repair division. On Monday 9th May I phoned Telkom and they confirmed that my problem was in hand with the technical division and I was told that they would be out to see me within a day. Friday 13th May I phoned again as there had not been a visit from the technical department and my landline was still dead. This time the lady at Telkom told me that my reference number had been taken off as fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her that my landline was definitely dead and could not be used and once again received another reference number. It is now coming up for 4 weeks that I have once again been without a service. I find the landline a very valuable service to have and it is just such a great pity that that is not valued by the service provider!
